UntitledBuilding Works Notice: 21st March 2016

Renovation works are currently in progress so there will be some disruption to the use of the center over the next 3 months. We are delighted that these works with the support of Fingal County Council are finally taking place increasing the size of the center so we can better serve the needs of our growing community.

Mission Statement:

“To promote the social, educational, recreational and sporting activities and services of the community”

The Blakestown Community & Resource Centre was opened in 1989.

Within the Center there is a Sports Hall and two meeting rooms (all available to rent). There is also a Coffee Shop “The Cosy Kitchen”, a Community Crèche, and Youth Services also have offices within the Center.

Funding to run the Center is received from Fingal County Council. A Community Employment Project is sponsored by DSP which pays for staff to operate the Centre. POBAL (Department of Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs) also provide funding for some Crèche workers. Income is also generated from tenants who rent office space, rental from hall and rooms, plus our Coffee Shop.
